-> Our tip and advice for CHEMISTRY (0620) paper 4
To start off, the main tip we can give you is, to start early. People who start practicing papers early in 10th grade usually end up scoring numerous a stars. We cannot stress this enough, start today.
Getting an A* in chemistry can be an easy task if u have a good grip on your basics, for that we advise that you complete your syllabus at least twice (once from the book and once from the syllabus) before sitting for the examination.
Once you are thorough with the topics from the book (appx 14 chapters) then you should shift your focus to doing past papers. Our teachers advise that u should do papers of all variants and series from at least the past 10 years (from 2015) as most of the theory questions are repeated and have the same specific answer.
For theoretical chapters like rate of reaction, bonding, etc. as you do past papers, you will get familiarised with the answers to questions as they are mostly repeated.
The conditions of processes like the Haber's or the Contact process should be memorized as they act as free marks.
Stress reading theory and syllabus just before the exam, and refrain from learning new stuff as exams get closer.
For paper 2, you should just focus on doing as many papers as you can as the questions are almost repeated and are comparatively easy, however, you should not take it lightly as if you lose a mark it'll affect your overall percentage more strongly.
Make a review sheet (a document of all the questions you got wrong and their answers) and review it before the exam.Â
Underline the keywords, they fetch you marks.
DO NOT STRESS ABOUT THE PAPER. Be confident about your preparation and you will ace it!
